Digital Marketing Strategist

As an expert in digital marketing, you will be responsible for developing strategies and leveraging a variety of channels to assist our clients in achieving their goals. You will take on the lead digital marketing role on our accounts, with the support of our full team. While you will focus on overall strategy, you will also be responsible for managing tactical elements of the campaigns.

Client programs will include tactics spanning across channels, including SEO, PPC, content syndication, email marketing, social media ads and influencer marketing, display, retargeting, programmatic display, and marketing automation. You’ve had experience leading successful Google AdWords campaigns, optimizing content for SEO and SEM, executing digital media buys and deploying dynamic email/social marketing campaigns.


You:

You will work closely with the account management team to ensure the digital campaigns are achieving the client’s brand reach goals and to provide reporting that illustrates impact. Frequent client communication and meetings will be the norm, so you are comfortable interacting with clients directly. You will also be responsible for supporting the business development team by identifying account growth opportunities, new business prospects, conduct competitive research, site usage analysis, and assist with pricing and proposal writing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of results-driven digital marketing strategies for existing accounts.
  • Conduct research to inform recommendations for new programs and optimization of existing campaigns.
  • Work with the account management and creative teams to produce digital marketing assets that will align with the target audiences and achieve client goals. Provide feedback when needed to modify assets to align with industry best practices or data-driven insights.
  • Develop, implement and executing digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels – paid and organic. This would include leading programmatic display campaigns.
  • Continually A/B test new tactics and optimize the campaigns to maximize client budgets to achieve results.
  • Work with the copywriters/editors to provide keyword analysis that inform content topics and articles. Conduct keyword research, writing ad copy and establishing bidding strategies for paid search campaigns.
  • Audit websites for opportunities to increase organic search visibility. Optimize web content for organic search.
  • Support the new business team by providing recommendations for proposals: Assist with proposal development and pricing, participate in pitches., and attend industry conferences to network and stay on top of emerging industry marketing trends.
  • Analyze competitor ad links and stay current on industry changes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree and/or technical certification a plus.
  • 5-7 years of experience managing results-driven content distribution and programmatic campaigns, ideally with agency experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in executing, managing, and leading the creative, bidding, and ongoing optimization of GDN campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of all the elements required to achieve a #1 organic SERP position.
  • High proficiency with social media platforms, Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, marketing automation tools, etc.
  • Proven data interpretation, reporting, and visualization skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentations.
